Welcome to Healthy School Vending

At 70 years young, I still embrace a full life – working, maintaining daily fitness, and now embarking on a mission to transform how students access nutritious snacks. My years in Europe, serving alongside the U.S. Military, opened my eyes to a different perspective on food, wellness, and living well.

Rich Boyd - owner

Back in Utah, I’ve watched the landscape of student nutrition evolve, often not for the better. While many schools maintain excellent cafeteria programs, the options available between meals frequently fall short of supporting young, developing bodies and minds. Today’s students face unprecedented academic and extracurricular demands, yet despite the Smart Snack in School national food standards, they often fuel themselves with less than optimal snacks.

That’s why I founded Wasatch Wellness Vending, and this special arm of our business: Healthy School Vending – to bring nutritious, energizing snacks within easy reach of busy students and dedicated faculty.

Our school-focused vending program doesn’t just meet compliance standards; it aims to genuinely support the educational mission by providing foods that enhance focus, maintain energy levels.  We recognize that many “healthy” options on today’s market contain concerning levels of artificial or manufactured ingredients, and overly processed foods.

At Healthy School Vending, we meticulously examine every product label, scrutinizing each ingredient to ensure we’re providing only genuinely nutritious options. This careful curation process reflects our philosophy that true wellness comes from real food.

As a parent myself, I understand the importance of quality nutrition for young people. I personally evaluate every product we offer, selecting only items I would confidently provide to my own family. Our partnerships with schools across Weber, Davis, and Box Elder Counties represent more than just convenient vending – they’re a commitment to supporting the next generation through better nutrition, one snack at a time.

To Your Health,
